A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of featuring the AMAZING Kim Lyn Chauvin of Kim Lyn Photography on The Red Bra Project YouTube channel. Kim is a self-taught photographer who currently focuses on Weddings and Boudoir photography, but also dabbles in family and lifestyle shooting as well.
Kim’s passion for photography commenced with Boudoir when she began taking pictures of her friends in her bedroom before moving on to renting hotel rooms, Airbnb’s, or her own studio space. Her love for boudoir photography has never wavered and it is why she ultimately decided to build her own studio in her backyard, creatively named, “Blush”.
Once you spend two minutes with Kim you quickly realize she is more than a photographer; she is an incredible woman who works hard at life to cheer on the women who choose to share their vulnerability and life with her. Boudoir is a very special type of art and the way that Kim frames it is so tasteful and beautiful. She attempts to make sure the women who are visit her studio to work with her feel comfortable and leave feeling beautiful and confident. She makes every effort to ensure her clients know that they are valued and realize their own self-worth.
She inspires us at the Red Bra Project by far more than just her career as a photographer though.
She is a mama to a blended family of four boys and does everything she can in her power to make sure they have a happy and healthy life. She finds her center in life from her religion and looks to her faith to guide her on her journey. She is blessed with a husband who supports her dreams and encourages her to be everything she wants to be in life and he is actually the person that purchased her first camera for her. His belief in her allows her to take leaps she may otherwise be afraid to take.. He told her to never give up if it’s what she wants. He encourages her to drown out the noise and that it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.
She knows what it is like to put on her Red Bra Super Hero cape daily by sharing every bit of her personal life on social media. It scares her to death to be so vulnerable, but she understands her authenticity is what helps her clients feel comfortable and safe with her. She is currently working to empower other women through a new tribe of ambassadors who will work with her as the “Blush Babe Tribe”. The tribe will help to promote that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and forms. And that all women are beautiful. Today and every day.
