Make It Happenable – With Andrea Kaye Goodman

We feel busy just listening to our last guest Andrea Kaye Goodman talk about everything she has going on in her life! Mom to three kids, three pups, running her own business (Self proclaimed serial entrepreneur 🙂 ), being a wife and empowering women at the same time…her balance and persistence is more than impressive. In a vulnerable share Andrea also let us know that she had been caring daily for her father who passed just days before the interview. Our love and prayers go out to her and her family during this difficult time. We so appreciate her honesty with us and our audience.

Andrea’s career started as a former NFL cheerleader and if she’s being honest that is where her passion for empowering women began. She loved the experience of dancing and even got to travel overseas to raise morale for our troops with the Armed Forces Entertainment. However, even with that love and passion she couldn’t get passed the negative body image impact that was happening on the team. She revealed that you needed to fit the uniform of the previous cheerleader had the season before. So if you replaced a size 2 cheerleader and you were a size 4 you needed to figure out how you were going to fit into that uniform. There was no ordering a new one. Everything was dependent on weight and overall image. She recognized very quickly and still does to this day that the women on the team were not being noticed for their skills but their appearance.

As stated she believes herself to be a serial entrepreneur and launched her first company Boot Camp Babes. It was a women’s fitness boot camp program that was performed in the City parks. She explains she was one of the first coaches to bring kiddos to a workout for moms. She loved the fun of the program and being a coach.
Things quickly changed though and Andrea learned all about pushing through fear. She picked up her life with her then husband and moved from Arizona to Texas. She sold her first business and signed a non compete clause. Fast forward a few short months and everything sadly wasn’t working out with her marriage.

She decided she was getting a divorce and needed to move back home to Arizona. She remembers that she just paused to figure out what was happening so she could focus on her and the kids. She pulled from the strength of her mom, got her ducks in a row, and went into action. She acknowledges she was scared, but knew she had to push through. When fear is present something good or bad is about to happen she believes. So she gave herself 10 minutes to freak out and then had to move forward. These days, she is back in business and helping moms grow their network marketing platforms, regardless of the company they are with. In addition, she hosts online pop-up courses that empower women called Babes Empowering Babes workshops.

Family has and always will come first always for Andrea. She films in her home studio and her door is always open. She wants her kids to know that they are number one. There is no negotiating on that point. Everything is make it happenable in her eyes. 🙂 She recognizes that every day is a gift and she needs to live in the moment and not get sucked into tomorrow today. We all have the same 24 hours to make something happen.

Andrea’s Red Bra moment….Confidence. Confidence is her superpower… she explains she is so confident that she has taken it a step farther and died her hair pink! So many people tell her they love it, but they could never do it.

That statement leads to an incredible conversation about empowerment. Andrea explained on our show that some of women feel complete wearing the red bra underneath our clothes.. a quiet confidence.. and some of us are a bit louder. Sometimes, the louder versions are too much for some people… and that’s okay, those aren’t their people. She states she is one of those louder versions!

Before ending our talk Andrea shared some great advice with us. “Don’t put anything in writing or do anything that you wouldn’t want to see on a billboard”… from her mom. Because of this advice from her mama she’s always been super self- aware. This has served her well in SO MANY situations, and still does. She shows up the same way everywhere she am… no matter what.
